Will someone please think of us poor sea level folks. I drove all the way up to Burnaby Mountain today just to get a sniff of the good stuff.

Would favour a Western Canada arctic blast I'd imagine given the -ENSO/+QBO state. One can only hope.

Most of our snow has gone now, but what a wild ride- heavy rain, dropping temps, 3-4 cms of snow; more heavy rain and now howling NW winds and the power keeps threatening to depart. The snow levels with this system were all over the place; we got snow here at sea level, but across the strait, the snow level was near 400 meters on Texada Island. A full day of weather!

I think you got skunked mainly due to lack of precip intensity. I’m at about half your elevation and got 6 cm of accumulation.
It's called clown range for a reason.

Our power just came back on. It was off since around 10 am due to branches with heavy wet snow taking out power lines! Ended up with about 20 cm before it changed to rain late afternoon.
