It may take 2-3 weeks to see favorable blocking.

But it might backfire with the AK vortex propping up a ridge over the West Coast.

This next week is going to be really wet. Huge mountain snows at the higher levels too.

Mt Washington is gonna get an insane amount of snow this week.

Solid mix precip now. Highly exciting event. I don’t think i will see 1 cm at this slow of transition let alone 10.
Burnaby Mountain @ 365 m..

Stats? Fresh out of those. But I win anyway. I got all the inches.

Good news is the ECMWF has more of a WSW flow for next week ensuring most snow falls only above 1000m. Has some high freezing levels and south winds at times to remind us it is winter.

Chilly trough is now only 8-9 days away!

The life of a Wetcoast snow lover, where even a bit of elevation no longer seems to help.

SW flow. Very warm rain.

Trending milder for the first half of Jan. We will hopefully dry out after this period.

Just saw the precip maps. Stunned. Most precip splits or stays offshore.

It does show probably 100-200mm of rain before day 8 though. And feet of mountain snow.
