Could be a much higher snow depth just a few km away from where the official totals are recorded. Barrie tends to get its snow through lake effect storms, and those are very localized.

That Buffalo lake effect storm back in November 2014 was pretty intense. Over 5 feet of snow in some areas and then other area just a few km's away got next to nothing.

I can imagine the number of :x :x :x on this forum if we all lived there and some of us lived in the areas that missed out.
