Yeah, the last few Euro runs have been pretty stingy.

Re: January 2021 Forecasts and Discussions
I’m curious to see how Burnaby Mtn does in comparison is those above 300m on Westwood and on Catnip Hill/Mundy Park area. When I was at sea level in Port Moody I would always see clouds and fog bunch up a little bit on the north facing side of Catnip Hill and during snow and outflow events you could see the visibility decrease as you went up. Can’t say the same with the further away Westwood Plateau until the very top of the development. As Burnaby Mtn is also a stand alone hill, much higher than Mundy I want to be hopeful of what may come. So far this season I’ve seen it snow on 3 or 4 occasions with accumulating snows twice. Dec 21 was around 10 cm and it stuck for days until we warmed up. Usually we are 1 to 2 degrees colder than at the bottom of the hill. So anyway I couldn’t even begin to guess how I’ll do Sunday but I can’t wait to see. I suspect 10 cm if there is enough precipitation.
Burnaby Mountain @ 365 m..
Stats? Fresh out of those. But I win anyway. I got all the inches.

I'll go for 15 cms by the time its done..but you could also get as little as 5cm, or as much as 25cm..depends on what happens with the Low and outflowWintergirl wrote: ↑Thu Jan 21, 2021 2:53 pm Mmmm no special weather statement for us here in Squamish yet, however we dont really need one for 2 to 5cms LOL! We do have some outflow winds now and the dew point is dropping fast! Squamish and snow and amounts...anyone wanna wager a guess for me for the weekend??? Pretty please![]()
Looking forward to our first 3 day stretch of sun and 20c++

Its looking like 50% chance of a complete nothing burger and 50% chance of a half decent score. I'm ready to move on to the next one already. I remained positive until now but when the Euro zones in on a solution its known to be fairly accurate.

#LMsnowbeltTypeing3 wrote: ↑Thu Jan 21, 2021 2:53 pm There's a pretty big difference once you get above 200m.
There's about three different snow zones on the plateau that you'll generally observe during marginal snow events; the first is from about 100-200m; the second from 200-300m; and the third from 300-370m.
That third zone often scores huge. Case in point...during a pretty spotty regional snowfall in early March 2019, the upper levels of Westwood plateau received upwards of 30-40cm.
I should also add that the highest elevations of como lake hill around Mundy Park (in central coquitlam) often overperform in snowfall relative to their elevation. The hill is generally about 120-180m in elevation but they often receive similar or higher amounts of snowthan elevations between 200-300m on westwood plateau.

I moved into the basement from the third floor many years ago. Ended up losing quite a bit of elevation.Pumpkin Seed wrote: ↑Thu Jan 21, 2021 4:22 pm I did move. Upstairs now, 12 ft. Won't help much I guess.

14kmh NE winds in south Sumas, so by the time my wind reaches you it'll be weeks. Maybe the border will be open by then.Rubus_Leucodermis wrote: ↑Thu Jan 21, 2021 7:32 pm 5.0ËšC, dew point -4.4ËšC, NNE Fraser outflow winds.
