8-14 DAY OUTLOOK FOR FEB 05 - 11 2021

By the week-2 period, models agree that the mean western trough will move
eastward, centered over much of the plains and resulting in negative height
anomalies from the Rockies to the Mississippi Valley. A strong ridge is
forecast to remain in the eastern Pacific, with the northern extension of the
ridge moving west to extend over the Bering Sea. A sharp boundary between the
negative and positive height anomalies is expected, and its position will
depend on how far east the mean trough extends. Today's GFS ensemble">GFS ensemble means and
deterministic runs favor a more eastward position, with negative 500-hPa
height anomalies extending to near the East Coast, while the 0z European and
Canadian ensemble means keep negative height anomalies near the Great Lakes
region and westward. Today's manual 500-hPa blend favors the solutions farther
west as the latest GFS runs seem to be outliers today.

Looks like there may be a small mistake on Canada Goose's table.

January 2014, 2015 and 2018 were completely snowless (0cm); not even a trace was recorded at the airport from what I can see on EC's historical data.

Yep, I reversed some data...

2014, 2015, 2018 = 0
2013, 2017, 2019 = Trace

Would be interesting to see March. Seem to remember there being more March snowfalls in the 2000s.

Soon I will be staying in the winter in the Similkameens to get away from this sad rainy shi tty climate we call winter. Maybe 100 years ago was just anomonously colder..and we will never see that again?
But we can dream about winters like that buttees. Instead I will   be living it!!
