It is...by mid Feb. Models are pushing that ridge square over us though. Foggy and cold morning with highs near +12C with sunshine in the afternoon? Sign me up!

So a warm February unless it’s a cold one. Got it.wetcoast91 wrote: ↑Sun Jan 31, 2021 7:39 am It is...by mid Feb. Models are pushing that ridge square over us though. Foggy and cold morning with highs near +12C with sunshine in the afternoon? Sign me up!

Re: January 2021 Forecasts and Discussions
Honestly...no one forecasted a warm west and cold east considering all long range modeling had a west based trough with persistent positive heights off the GOA.
This pattern development would mirror what we saw in 1999-2000...Which for all intents and purposes was a snowless -ENSO in the lowlands.

Even the cold in the east is looking pretty transitory. Hopefully everyone ends up warm.

It will be what it is. I gave up on model riding some years ago. Simply leads to disappointment more often than not, so why do it?wetcoast91 wrote: ↑Sun Jan 31, 2021 8:08 am![]()

If February ends up being a dud, I will look forward to camping again.

I'm choosing to learn the hard way. Lets see if next winter I remember that lessonRubus_Leucodermis wrote: ↑Sun Jan 31, 2021 8:27 am It will be what it is. I gave up on model riding some years ago. Simply leads to disappointment more often than not, so why do it?

Its so predictable that this would happen in the one year where a good winter would've done so much good for so many reasons.
