Jet supression not the issue here. The lack of colder air appears to be an issue with the PV sliding due east.

Might be another case of peaking too soon. Or it could be the outlier we all look back at and laugh about because we panicked too early.

Always a possibility. This is a very precarious setup. Basically entirely -NAO driven since blocking in the Pacific is pretty anemic.
