My thoughts on the mid week setup.

Pretty good chance we are gonna see the arctic air stumble south early this week, as we have already seen some delay in the models. Maybe they have fully caught up with this by now but perhaps not. Looks like we may see some sort of frontogenesis along the arctic boundary and what is currently modeled in southern Washington could very well end up on our doorstep

This could end up similar to last Jan with the arctic air trickling into the south coast and settling into the region for a few days with plenty of flurries and waves of snow. Battleground setup with the cold air struggling to make it south of Everett.

Hope I'm wrong though... was looking forward to seeing a few cold/clear days with mins below -10c.

Rain near the water and snow higher levels and inland on the 00z euro. Still better than the gfs and gem which are both bone dry.

06z RGEM = warmer but a bit more snowy. Light snow on begins Wednesday morning and is on and off till late evening... looks like about 2-8cm across Metro Vancouver.
