The extreme cold solutions were never likely to verify anyway. If we manage to reach -10C at YVR and -13C at YXX, that's pretty much top tier cold for our modern climate.

Got down to -0.7C here this morning, dew point -3C.

Sad but true. This looks more like other events where the interior of the continent gets cold and we get the scraps. Last January was kind of like that I think.

12Z ECMWF has a weak Arctic front for Wed. Flurries...but doesnt amount too much for Metro Van. 2-4cm for Eastern Fraser Valley and near the border.

Sort of interesting. But the the Euro 500mb pattern has been basically unchanged in the short term for the past 3 days. As you expect it’s the surface details in question
