FWIW, driest March on record in Vancouver was 22.6mm in 1912. For YVR it's 25.9mm set in 1992.
Comox is showing just 0.7mm for March. I believe the record is 31.2mm from 1965

You are correct , hwy99 and hwy10 is a good 10 minutes away from the Ladner town centre.
they just opened a Timmy's by the co-op on Ladner Trunk Road last month so not true any longer (granted I don't think that's a win mind)
