So all the snowy models, including the high res ones don't take the upper level temps into account? Hmmmm...

Tomorrow afternoon when the heaviest precip falls. And we could get AM sunbreaks.
The WRF is hardly accurate.

I don't expect what the GEM/RGEM says but even the GFS (#teamnosnow) is colder than the WRF.
It always snows in December in the Kootenays

They're running the 925s at -1 or -2 at that time. I find the mm5 often has a warm bias.

Darn, I guess New West won't get much tomorrow. A consolation prize is getting rid of this nasty snow/ice and left over and sand/salt.

5 to 10 cm of snow for Metro Vancouver eastern suburbs and Western Fraser Valley on Tuesday.

A frontal system will cross the south coast on Tuesday. Snow will begin Tuesday morning. The snow may become mixed with rain this afternoon and early in the evening before changing back to snow Tuesday night. The eastern suburbs of Metro Vancouver and Western Fraser Valley can expect snowfall accumulations of 5 to 10 cm through Tuesday night. The snow will taper off early Wednesday morning.

Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow. :wish:

Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions.

Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada. To report severe weather, send an email to BCstorm@canada.ca or tweet reports using #BCStorm.

Oh, man! I was hoping for no snowfall warning so this event could actually happen.
