Nice to see snow still falling post frontal...for once. Usually its drizzle, a mix, or showers once precip rates diminish.

Usually when there is an overrunning event a winter storm watch/warning is issued. Its overhyped in my opinion. Usually its just a few cm of snow followed by some freezing rain that doesn't ice up much, and then straight rain. To be fair, my location is one of the worst for freezing rain, so perhaps other nearby regions get more ice buildup. We'll see what happens.

Usually the 850mb temps go above 0c with these so it's very short lived, not this time though.

Snowing at a decent clip again here. Skies darkening. Might get back that cm which compacted/melted away.

I hope we can get a trickle of arctic air back in here before the next system comes, otherwise I'm not expecting this warning to verify.

Edit: at least their dew point is still pretty low at -9.6C.

Not much more for me. I've had all or most of that amount since 10:00 am just today.
