Onto winter 2021-22. Though I suspect we'll probably see a region wide 10cm slushstorm sometime in March or April
So close to getting in on the fun, too. Just north of the northern screw line for this event.
It looks good for staying in a cooler-than-normal pattern through March, and there’s already some hints of a second arctic blast in late February.
Otherwise, I believe I made that April storm prediction some weeks ago…

Better to be bone dry than see hours of snowfall that doesn't accumulate or slowly melts the existing snowpack.
But at least your seeing flakes fall. A little dusting the othernight, which blew away and evaporated.

Well, I guess we are still chasing the ever elusive regional snow storm this winter. Something not dependant on elevation or proximity to water. The search continues.
February 22/23 2018 was the last region wide snowstorm IIRC. I think most people in all areas of the lower mainland woke up to 20+ cm of snow. IIRC, I had a snow depth of around 25cm. The sad part, was that it warmed so quickly that much of it had melted by the end of the day.

Was Jan 15 2020 not region-wide?

l'm thinking Grumps used the Kuchera ratio when the 10:1 ratio was ineffect little too much batter used in those fluffy flakes of bran this morning.
Here's proof..the two little judges(granddaughters)have already declare me as the winner.

Yes Jr. I’m talking about this winter specifically.
