Forecasting for the Lower Mainland is frustrating. It's hard to believe half of my forecast busted again for the weekend storm.
I know it's a let down when snow looks like a sure thing, and then doesn't happen. So many reasons for this.

But onto the next event.

Be watching Thursday and Thursday night for a possible snowfall. Some models show this, and temps look marginal so this could go either way. If it turns out, it's possible to see up to 10 CM for the Metro Van/ Fraser Valley. If not, then towards the end of the month may bring some chilly temps.

Winter is running out of time.

I hope you guys can get one decent widespread snowfall in.

I don't know, while that is somewhat true, it's only here in Western Canada that we have this problem, and it extends into the Western USA as well. There is something else going on. I recall better forecasts in the 1980's, and how is that possible with the betterment of technology? OH! It's like road building. Roads built in the 1960's are superior to any road built today. In fact many new roads are so pathetic it looks like drunk people made them. For example, 16oth St. between 24th and 32nd Aves. What a cluster muck! The curbs are crooked, the road too narrow, the lanes are not straight, they weave around stuff.. it's pathetic.

When's the last time you took that 160th st stretch? They had the lower part shut down for 6 months or more to widen it to 4 lanes. So it's not bad now. Which reminds me ,time for a visit to Notti Biscotti.

I drove it today. There will many accidents on the stretch, especially northbound down the hill at those new lights and where the road suddenly curves inward. Asinine design.

I recommend that you get a Popeyes spicy chicken sandwich and a wicked willy biscotti from notti biscotti to melt away all your frustrations.

No worries friend. This region is very difficult to forecast and many of our forecasts bust, including ones made by professional meteorologists.

Well that winter storm warning for the Valley was a total bust. Just took a webcam tour of the Valley and it looks like 1 - 2 cm of snow fell. LOL. Unreal.

Yup we had 5cm early this morning nothing added since a trace which melted within the hour. although Johnny had 6cm.
