Was a nice day in the Similkameens today. Light flurries all day..looked nice. Still much snow here..around 12" to 18" in the shadows. But of course in some of the sunny zones all melted. Still very much winter here. A very windy day. Got some bites fishing but couldn't quite land dinner. Pulled an injured deer off the lake..but it looked weak after the attack from the coyote. It allowed me to help it out from 6 feet of rope as I spoke "Deer" to it. Maaaaaa maaaaaa....
I dont think it will survive the night. But I wished it best of luck as it struggled on land to even walk properly. Perhaps tomorrow I will catch my organic trouts?
Looking forward to our first 3 day stretch of sun and 20c++ 8-)

Still very much Spring here. A very warm day. Got some bites fishing but couldn't quite land the 40 pounder. Perhaps tomorrow I will buy my organic trout from the store in Princeton.

Woke up to a very light dusting of snow this morning in the Similkameens... ground was already frozen before it snowed so you can still see the individual flakes. It looks quite nice! The winds usually calm down at night so the flakes didn't get swept around at all.
It looks quite troffy today. I'm sure there will be a few more flurries this morning. It's quite cold here I believe it got down to -5 C last night after sitting steady at about +2 or 3 yesterday with light flurries during the day.
I'm going to try to go catch some trouts today. Looks like another cold and windy day here though...not sure how long I want to be out in the elements here. Wish me luck buttees!!
