I hope this upcoming wet period actually delivers some moderate rain. The last few systems have been so weak the rain didn't even penetrate under the tree cover in my yard. We need some good rain.

Looks like a short lived pattern change and then dry again. I wonder if this dry pattern and obvious NE Pacific strong high pressure trend so early this year (summer pattern) will mean it will change early to a Fall pattern and we get a soaking August/September? It's happened before! In 2004 we had a very dry April and May and a hot July and early part of August and then the switch was flipped and we had a very wet 2nd half of August and September. In 2008 it was a similar cool and dry spring and a warm May and June then August 2008 was a soaker. Even 2015 was looking like a record drought then the rains came early.

Nice analysis C79 and you may right the end of the week is looking pleasant 22c is absolutely perfect for the fraser valley, even some possible T-showers thrown in for Tuesday.

Micheal Kuss was saying that this afternoon and evening should be a decent soaking. I'm not holding my breath and you're right, the rain has been much lighter than forecast really since March. Every time there is rain in the forecast it ends up being much weaker and sometimes no rain at all. I wonder if the typical onshore flow that brings those couple weeks of"Juneuary" weather in a normal year will even happen this year.

2.8mm so far in my rain bucket in south Sardis also reports of thunder approx. 4:30p.m. so the air mass is volatile it would appear.

How's the next string of nice weather looking C79? I heard it may not last as long as the last one.

Looks like another band heading across the strait. But overall, once again...meh.

The HRRR might be picking up on that deformation band or whatever it is. Looks like somebody might get a big of fun. Thunder maybe?
