That's twice now I'm pretty sure I heard thunderclaps. Somewhat far away...radar looking good heading into Delta!

There is a band of heavy showers moving on to the Ladner/South Richmond area. Looks like a thundershower, there is some red on the radar. That squall line will head NE over East Van and Burnaby.

Bang on. 3 rumbles in past 5 minutes.

Edit: this is almost directly overhead for me, thunder is following pretty immediately after lightning. Up to 6 or 7 rumbles now.

Edit: A very intense downpour of rain and hail, still frequent thunder and lightning, but the delay is now 5 seconds instead of 1-2 like earlier. Well past double digits on thunder/lightning count though. This is fantastic.

Yeah, too far North for me. Having a good light show and a downpour at least! Red cells going right over Richmond it seems.

Torrential rain and multiple lightning strikes here in North Van.

This came outta nowhere! I thought we were done with the rain tonight.
It always snows in December in the Kootenays

Lightning seems closer to home again all of a sudden. Felt the house shake with the most recent one. Also probably highest frequency I've seen in Vancouver, up to near 20 flashes&rumbles by now.

Just a quick deformation band, glad we got some fun tonight although that band of energy didn't come out this far east. Glad to hear the rain is starting to fall again, maybe we'll get a few showers pop up throughout the night.
Its nice to have something to track at least!?

Just got a call from my brother over in Metrotown and he said thunder and lightning and heavy wind/rain. Lucky.. I hope it moves east! We need some storms in Surrey!

This exceeded expectations tonight. I thought it could get a bit convective, but 1 flash & bang per minute, or very nearly, going on half an hour now, and a couple house shakers? Absolutely chuffed to little mint balls.
