Re: June 2021 Fotecasts And Discussions
Seeing reports on some Maple Ridge community forums that they felt an earthquake. I didn't feel it because I was asleep. Anyone else feel anything?

2.1 is pretty small, but you can feel it. We have had 2 near my place in the Okanagan in the past 5 years that we felt. One of them made a loud bang in the house, and we went outside to see if there was a big car accident.Leighbugs wrote: ↑Wed Jun 16, 2021 11:30 am Hmmm...seems like it was VERY local.

I just realized that strong earthquakes don't exist on the Lower Mainland. In fact, Prince George gets stronger quakes.Leighbugs wrote: ↑Wed Jun 16, 2021 11:30 am Hmmm...seems like it was VERY local.

The first graph is all quakes 2.0 or greater, and the 2nd is all earthquakes 3.0 and greater. Only 4 of these have ever occurred...

Probably a lot of mid to upper 20's inland I'm thinking. Haven't actually looked at the forecasts lately but the ensembles don't look to extreme for heat.Sardisbcwx wrote: ↑Wed Jun 16, 2021 10:26 pm I hope were not in for a long duration of dry and hot temps. too early for that.on that note l hit 24.1c today in south Sardis.

If this verified it’s going to get hot and that ridge isn’t going anywhere fast. Rex Block = very stable pattern

Is this part of the 4 corners high that's absolutely baking Arizona? ugh!

Not really. The ridge over BC is more locally grown.Sardisbcwx wrote: ↑Thu Jun 17, 2021 12:26 am Is this part of the 4 corners high that's absolutely baking Arizona? ugh!![]()
The pattern does get close to tapping into that extreme heat early next week but doesn’t quite get there. Looks like it’ll get cut off around Portland. Probably mid 30s or higher there on Monday

Re: June 2021 Fotecasts And Discussions
Yah, l see that after looking at that map. So no chance of some moisture creeping up for the Okanagan which is good don't need any lighting in there.Monty wrote: ↑Thu Jun 17, 2021 1:23 am Not really. The ridge over BC is more locally grown.

Re: June 2021 Fotecasts And Discussions
^I'm confused by what you mean by "second decade of June". Usually decade is a term used to denote 10 years like the time period of 2010-2020.

It's also a period of 10 days. Here from June 11 to June 20.

Re: June 2021 Fotecasts And Discussions
Does Sheriff Goosey mean 2nd week of June? 2nd decade 10 day's l guess, l'm not use to that terminology.
Reached a high of 26.8c in south Sardis today.
