And the new record may only stand for a day.
But could another town take the crown from Lytton? I'm hoping not, we drive through Lytton when we go visit relatives in Willy's Puddle nice thought thinking l'm driving through Canada's hottest town.
It's interesting Tim's is running a commercial for there summer drinks saying Osoyoos is the hottest place in B.C. false advertising now.
In 2005 when l was in Singapore l experienced the warmest overnight low in my life constantly around 25c this is just insane that l may experience a warmer overnight low tonight in my own home town.
I never ever imagined that, that show's you just how historic this event really is for us. Daytime high's in Singapore were constantly low 30's one or 2 day's it hit 35c and the locals were complaining that was hot. of course the humidity was constantly 80% to 90%

I think Osoyoos technically (for a town) has the highest average daytime temperature in Canada. It's probably not really false advertising as it still averages hotter overall summers than the fraser canyon. It's just that in an actual heatwave, it's usually the fraser canyon that ends up the hottest.

Lillooet or Ashcroft could potentially steal Lytton’s crown.
Lillooet would be interesting as it would move the record significantly further north.
