Alot of people cannot afford places with AC. A good portable AC unit is several hundred dollars. Same story, the rich can sit in their climate controlled homes telling "Alexa" to lower the temp and can swim in their pools while the marginalized and the poor struggle and even die to heat related issues .

You can't paint everyone with an A/C as "rich." Generalizations like that don't really help.

However, you are right in one respect. Extreme events, weather or otherwise, adversely effect the marginalized disproportionately. And it is getting worse.

Euro paints a grim picture with rising heights in the SW and the potential development of a monster 4 corners high. Really hoping it's wrong because the long range pattern shows no precip and looks conducive to more warmth and upper level flow that would bring in all of the forest fire smoke.
