I’ve been up that road. There is a sign warning travelers of its propensity to flood, although IIRC it says nothing about glacial melt flooding. That latter point might have given drivers a false sense of security (“How can it flood? It’s not the rainy season!â€Â).

High of 26.7c thus far today and currently 25.4c. Temp in the house is now 28.8c and continues to gradually fall.
Temp has fluctuated depending on the wind; seeing some light SWlies right now.

The province also needs to wake up and hire more paramedics and actually pay them a decent wage.

What a difference 10 degrees makes, been 21.5 plus or minus all day. What a lovely temperature!!! Cooled off to just below 21 overnight. House is 27, quite pleasant but if I open a cupboard it's pretty warm in there still.
EC forecast 29C today, so happy it bust.

if you read the r/vancouver subreddit there is a post https://www.reddit.com/r/vancouver/comm ... epair_a/ written by a current paramedic (allegedly, this is social media after all) on how the BC Ambulance service fell to its current low. I found it informative
