Is that all smoke in eastern Washington?
if so looks like it's from a fire south of eastern Washington. :o

A lot of eastern Washington looks brown as it’s dry grasslands. But there is some smoke.

Hey Coquitlam 79, why the "79"?

Also, I hope you're not going to Charlotte Lake soon because the Big Stick Lake fire has gone complete ape you-know-what today. Highway 20 is closed and Kleena Kleene evacuated.

A friend got stuck in the road closure today, so will have to drive up to Vanderhoof from Anahim Lake on the forestry road to come back down to the Okanagan. That's a long drive! These are the pictures he took...

Yes it is. Rank five activity today. Clearwater Lake and parts of Kleena Kleene evacuated and properties on one-eye lake are on alert.

Hoe Lee Schmidt! Last night the fire overran a family member's place, jumped the highway, the river, and moved another 10 to 15 km past there!

What an absolutely incredible run it's taking it's insane  for what it's worth it's moving away from Clearwater but it's grown in size so it looks closer to Clearwater it's deceiving to say the least Glace.

No homes were lost but woodsheds and barns were. Now it's burning to the east where no one lives so perhaps the worse is over. They have to go clear up all the burned out trees before re-opening the highway.

Went up the Coq on Sunday and it was mostly clear until Merritt when the smoke was noticeable. Came home yesterday and the smoke had spread south as far as the Coldwater Provincial Park, and on top of that there is a massive fire now towards July Mountain which is west of the Coq and just south of Coldwater and near the Northern edge of the Coq Summit raging out of control and that was not there 3 days ago. If that spreads east they will have to close the Coq! Considering the area, this fire is absolutely human caused because there has been no lightning in that area in the 3 last days but there are people up there hiking and camping. :(

Any chance you could pull up one of those heat maps for the flat lake fire. Wondering if it’s crossed hwy 97. Our cabin is right on the edge of the latest evacuation order for that fire. If it crosses 97 that is a bad situation

Wow, Cultus Lake could have gone up in flames if this had become out of control!

Could've been worse...it could've rained!

Jk I'm glad that things didn't get out of control there. What a summer so far. I'm thinking August is a write off if we get our usual dose of offshore flow to bring us the smoke. Hope I'm wrong.
