12Z GEM gives the coast a few showers on Monday and then is dry until the end of the run. The interior does well though.

You can tell why the GFS is much better than the GEM later in the week. The ULL is further offshore on the GEM.

Unfortunately if the 12Z Euro was going to be the tiebreaker, we're in trouble. It has shifted most of the precip well east. :tiredos:

Who could've foreseen the euro completely crapping on all of our optimism?

At this rate we're gonna beat the "no measurable precip" streak record as well (something like 58 days? Goose?). Perhaps with no precip at all, not just no measurable precip.

Not unexpected as this is the worst time of the year to bet on rain. Even a normal summer is dry right now.

That looks like the rain might miss the big fires burning north and south of Kamloops area.

I’m worried about dry lightning, even out on the coast Saturday. We will see but things will destabilize with southerly flow. Could be high based storms?

Yeah, we know there will be convection in the alpine on Sat and Sun. That much is a given, so no precip around could be disastrous. We'll see.

Starting to think the interior is a lost cause. How many folks who moved out there for more space regretting their decisions as they choke on the air while we basically have had fresh air all summer long with a bit of haze?

RGem and Nam in lock step while the Euro says nope? Where have we seen this before? Oh yeah...Jan 24th. Someone remind me how that one turned out again...
