Smoke starting to push in here too but it's all aloft. Nothing at surface level.

I actually seen to remember a few instances where overnight temps dropped below forecasted mins when we had smoke.

Yeah it was like that in September 2020. I remember a few decently cool nights when it was smoky. :)
It always snows in December in the Kootenays

I hope it doesn't get too bad tonight, I was hoping to watch for meteors again.

EC missed the mark today, they called for a high of 31C in Sechelt, it topped out at 34.7 at 7 pm.

Temp is dropping here, down to 26.5 49% outside, humidity has gone up. House at 29.2 now.

Seems to get worse here after midnight, but stays okay around your area. I hope it works out for you!

The last couple nights have been fine here. 1 fan and windows open no problem. The much earlier sunsets help. In late June it would take longer for the temps to go down as it was still sunny at 9pm. Not now it's getting dark at that time already.

If the weekend trough morphs into a dry cold front followed by another ridge I’m an fearful of what is going to happen in the southern interior. The bad could get ugly. Not to be mr doom and gloom. But yikes.

Wouldn't take much of a push south for the moisture to make it into the south coast on Sunday or Monday. But there is a possibility it's just a dry cold front. GFS has been trending towards keeping the moisture aimed at the north and central coast.

Thank you Bonovox. I'll keep my fingers crossed, I've seen some beauties the last couple of nights.

Truth is, it was a dry cold front that turned the Mt. Ida fire in '98 in Salmon Arm into a firestorm.

I was in salmon arm the day after it blew up. I remember the water bombers on the lake.
