Hey does anybody know whether the QBO at 30mb or the 50mb level plays a bigger role in our climate?

Definitely looks like quite the cool down starting around the 10th with a fall-like pattern setting up, though it doesn't look crazy wet... yet. Maybe that means we warm up again and dry out late month or in early October.

With all due respect to Frankie, Vancouver will never have a major earthquake. Yes, earthquakes of 5 and 6 are possible, but nothing like what Anchorage had in 1964 or what the Queen Charlottes or California gets sometimes. The reason being that the nearest fault line is almost 300km away.
