Yesterday was so random. Only 0.7 mm at YXX... 4.4 mm here. It was bone dry when I was in Mission, where it's usually wetter.

Only 5.3 mm at YXX so far this month. Looking at the long range forecast, and considering the dry May we just experienced, it's beginning to appear likely that we're in the early stages of a drought pattern. I had thought that a wetter June would stave off drought concerns, but that hasn't materialized.

Wow! I had 23.8 mm yesterday in Central Abbotsford. Must have just been a small cell over an isolated area.

How do you find out which direction the winds generally come from? My friend is planting a tree that needs to be planted to protect from winter winds.

In your area? I'd say NW and N direction.

But ideally the plant should be shielded from any direction other than south or southwest.

In other news, I can't wait till it snows again!!!
