Welp Kells the only correlation is between my Mini Wheaties and milk.
I'm hoping it means colder.

I suppose it depends on if the pattern flips by winter, but there’s a possibility of repeating weather patterns that make for active stormy weather to bring cold/snowy weather in the winter.

Someone asked for a picture of the new Aldergrove radar. Seems twice as big and twice as high as old one.

Had to be over in Vancouver for a couple days for a memorial service for my uncle. Looked through the old family photo albums and saw this beauty taken after the big snowstorm during January 1971. Looks like the snow banks were up 6-7 stairs high in front of their house on Gray Ave in Burnaby.

Nice to see, thanks for sharing. Despite that being one of the greatest snowstorms in recorded history around Vancouver, (with about 100cm in just 4.5 days) there's a surprising lack of photos around.

FWIW, I believe this ("New Westminster West") was likely the closest station to Gray Ave at the time: https://climate.weather.gc.ca/climate_d ... pe=navLink

Every time I have looked it is operational. The dead spots are gone in Aldergrove and the range is much greater.

Wet day here but with some surprising clear and dry periods. It cleared up this morning for a few hours and a little bit around dinner time. Sadly I don' t have an accurate rainfall amount because my rain 'gauge' (small bucket) flew off the deck sometime over night. It now has a new and more accurate location in the middle of the driveway.

Yesterday evening there was a very warm breeze in the early evening, over 19C. Last warm day of the year?
