Hound wrote: Tue Oct 26, 2021 10:55 am Ha! So according to this graphic, Abby had higher wind gusts, yet Vancouver had the wind warning up, Abby did not. As usual, the exact opposite of what EC forecasts comes true. FIX YOUR DAMN RADAR STATION SITES!
I was complaining once about the lack of reliable precipitation stations, and the comments I got were, "rain gauges are outdated, we should just use radar to record precipitation!"

LOL, ya, that things are always broken!

EDIT: Huh, Prince George's radar is now gone! So no radar for central BC... perhaps it's getting upgraded...

We really deserve a long dry stretch now.
You really think November is going to be ridge tastic after the September and October we've had? I guarantee it will last 3 days if that.

Not quite yet , Jr still has to forecast a blizzard or two...and they don't have to verify , as long as he gets our hopes up. ;)

Synonym for craptastic.
It's called clown range for a reason.

Looking at the latest Euro weeklies. It does seem like we will see a ridgy period at some point in November and potentially into December. If we end up smack in the centre of an amplified ridge at this time of year, it will likely mean lots of fog.
