It's a gully washer in the central valley this morning.
The new McDees on Luckakuck has a new time/temp readout sign. it said 7c @ 7:40a.m.

Yes. I just was on Drive BC and saw the same. Snowshed is usually in the snow of all places up there. I have often seen warm/cool pockets going up the Coq often, where it is snowing then go up a few hundred feet in elevation and it changes to rain briefly. Weird but mountainous terrain will do that often. Tell em please Nito..

How about that low elevation mountain pass on the West Island (name?) that gets hammmmmmered with snow at 800 feet   . Ever weirder.
Looking forward to our first 3 day stretch of sun and 20c++ 8-)

On this day in 1919, Vancouver recorded 9.7cm of snow.

More recently on this day in 1991, Vancouver recorded 2.0cm of snow.

It's rare but does happen from time to time.

IIRC, YVR last recorded snow in October in 1991. Before that was 1984, and then 1971.

Locally in Coquitlam, I remember getting a trace of slush sometime during October 2012. Don't recall any other October snowfalls during the 2000s.

Yeah I don’t recall anything in the 2000s as well. I don’t hold my breath with the no climate but would be a cool experience.

We got close in 2017.

Snow late on Nov 2nd/early on Nov 3rd. Then more snow during midday on the 4th.
