Seattle got thunderstorms today.. we got nothing as usual. Although it was quite windy. Quite a bit of crap fell from trees.

Ya we don't usually see much action from this type of pattern. We get better action than Seattle in the sw flow typically seen in the rainy season. This type of flow we saw today is much better for Western Washington and maybe the Eastern Fraser Valley where convergence zones can form. At least parts of the South Island got some rain they needed it. Same with the interior any rain they get it's good for lowering the fire danger at least temporarily

The wind really ticked me off this morning. I don't recall it being in any forecast but maybe I am wrong. Anyway, it blew all sorts of tree junk into my pool. Not an in-ground pool but one of those 15 foot wide ones you can set up. Anyway, the wind and junk sunk the pool cover down low enough to dump tons of pine needles into the water.

Yesterday’s rain managed to miss us here at Shawnigan Lake. Just 0.3mm fell and that brought us up to 2.4mm for the month. Ya, I know that... But when you look at these 2 past months (beautiful ones), this would be a bad luck to have this king of weather now, when my family comes.
By the way, 31.5mm in Lytton yesterday!

Re: June 2019 Forecasts and Discussions
Hey, we are sooooo spoiled from a lack of wind here. Try living in the Atlantic provinces. Although, I have noticed more windy weather this spring/summer than recent years.Leighbugs wrote: ↑Thu Jun 20, 2019 1:13 am The wind really ticked me off this morning.
