Hi all! Happy November! I Just thought I'd check in and let you guys all know I'm looking forward to the first "winter cancel" post by us frustrated weather nerds. In previous years it typically happens by December.

On another note, I'm very saddened that I can't access my favourite site to gather weather data: https://wxweb.meteostar.com/sample/samp ... ?text=CYXX - I usually had it set to YXX as I live in Abbotsford. Anyway, I used to use this and now I can't seem to get it. I loved the simplistic method it used to extrapolate data, and was easiest for me to understand. (I have trouble with all the graphs - and understanding them etc).

Anyway, any ideas on that part? Is it a pay service only now? For the record, I tried signing up (input name/password etc) however it's still not accessible.

We have a secondary home now in Sun Peaks - so will be up there from time to time during the winter as well. Guaranteed to get more snow there than in Abbotsford lol I was also thinking of setting up a little weather station there as well, and streaming it on the wundermap.

Not very often you see EC have that much rain forecasted overnight and have rain end so quickly Wednesday morning

Rain at times heavy. Amount 40 to 50 mm. Wind east 20 km/h except gusting to 50 near the water. Temperature steady near 10.

Been a very warm fall in the NWT. Areas around Great Slave Lake are usually spared extreme cold for a bit because of the warming effects of the lake but even for that region it's been quite anomalous.

For example... This station has only recorded two freezes so far this fall! https://climate.weather.gc.ca/climate_d ... dYear=2021
