Another round of rain and wind for Tuesday. Snow levels likely 1,200m to 1,400m early in the morning, falling to about 1,000m by late morning, so another 20cm+ possible for the north shore mountains.

Abby_wx wrote: Sun Nov 07, 2021 4:21 pm I'm just guessing, but could be the tornado wasn't visible from the weather office location on the ground. Even so, you'd think one of the controllers would call down and inform them. Seems like there's blame to go around.
l thought the airport E.C. was no longer manned it maybe only avation observers. Didn't E.C. move to airport square? and now there downtown.
I guess the forecasters and observers are separate now.
They all use to be together in one bldg. on Cowley Crescent out at YVR.
I use to know all these things but ever since they downsized who knows anymore. :dunno:

PortKells wrote: Sun Nov 07, 2021 12:02 pm Yeah its a toxic habit to do that and get people all riled up only to come crashing down when reality bites. Yes we post optimistic maps sometimes but I think most people here understand the difference between eye candy and expectations.
Yes exactly Kells when l see eye candy stuff l usually drool over it then l come back down the earth again, of course if it came to fruition then that's another matter been a long time since that's happened.
