I am really hoping the guy just was so worked up he...exaggerated? I seriously hope so. But my friend was traumatized by even talking to the guy and witnessing how upset he was. My friend was choked up even relaying this to me so obviously the guy was super convinced something really horrific happened.

I keep refreshing the news to see any word but so far nothing new. All I've seen is that about 45 km of the highway is shut down. That's a BIG section.

Snowing again on the local hills.

All the rain was snow on Whistler Round House and Higher at 1800 meters. Wonder how much they got.

Definitely need the blocking the ECMWF is bullish on. This would be another direct hit.

I'm guessing the front just whipped through here in the last 30 minutes or so. Intense downpour, some pretty decent fork lightning out over the lake, very loud thunder and winds gusting to 80 km/hr. Fortunately did not lose power.

Now our rail lines are getting cut off. This is going to have major implications in the coming weeks.

Sad we lost 40+ cm of snow on all the local hills.

Post frontal strait enhanced squalls developing right now. Rapid development of thunderstorms that could lead to heavy rain, hail, and cold core funnel clouds. Snow level could dip to 300m by 6pm.

Winds are really gusting out of the west. Much stronger than I expected in my area.

Just had a shower with large raindrops and some hail pass through.

No rain recorded at the gauge in 3 hours now.

Looks like the final storm total in northeast Coquitlam is 208.8mm. Almost an exactly 48hr event.
