My uncle lives near Bridal Falls and yesterday he said one of the farmers was letting him have as much milk as he wanted because he would have to dump it out at the end of that day. Who cares about fines at this point, this is no time to enforce silly dairy board rules.

Just read the PCR test requirement to return to Canada will be dropped at the end of November for trips to US less than 72 hours.

Friends of ours are farmers on the Sumas Prairie. So far, their farm and house is still dry. He confirmed the water is receding. I'm assuming that the only way this could get worse is if the four pumps mechanically fail, and there's no indication of that happening. But yes, dairy supply issues and other supply issues will be impactful. My oldest kid (almost 5 years old) was griping about no "big oranges" in the house this morning. Too bad, kid. As things fly off the shelves and my kids' favourite foods dwindle, I'll have to be creative yet truthful so as not to instil fear.

Models keep us dry until Monday, then there's potential for another wet pattern. Right now, it takes most moisture up to the Central Coast next week but it's worth watching considering the rapid jet development.

Got down to 0c here at 5 am.

The dump trucks have been running all morning bringing material to fix the road. I'm not sure how they can get it to stay without washing away when the water is still pouring through. There's two culverts washed out so two 20-30' gaps in the road and the one is at least 10 - 15' deep.
