Glad I get around mostly by bicycle and public transit these days. (And yes, I know that not everyone else is in this situation, and that current circumstances are difficult for those who cannot do as I am.)
It's called clown range for a reason.

Re: November 2021 Forecasts and Discussions
So there is a rather impressive AR hitting the Central Coast right now and the latest GFS is showing a rather impressive AR striking our region starting Thurs with back to back AR's and precip lasting until Sunday. 6" to 8" of rain...but the SW orientation would impact the North Shore and Howe Sound region this time.
Most of this precip falls Thurs to Sat.

Unfortunately some snow has fallen on the Mountains. 6" of rain would make our situation more dire.
Hoping this doesn't verify.

I'm honestly just sad there's no bus stop within a 20 minute walk of my place, let alone a SkyTrain. I would rather take transit to work and not have to deal with the hordes of sociopaths that we share the road with.Rubus_Leucodermis wrote: ↑Sat Nov 20, 2021 7:36 am Glad I get around mostly by bicycle and public transit these days. Yikes, another Hwy bites the dust. About 12 years ago I took Hwy 8 and Duffy lake rd(hwy 99) from Kelowna to Lillooet to Whistler. What a beautiful scenic route that was. Amazing there hasn't been more fatalities . South Western BC already falling apart at the seams, let's pray that those future ar events are not as severe.Canada Goose wrote: ↑Sat Nov 20, 2021 10:31 am https://twitter.com/BradleyFriesen/stat ... 2050795520

Re: November 2021 Forecasts and Discussions
The way this year has gone, I think it would be unwise to expect anything less than crippling snow and cold later in the winter.
Maybe that is just wishful thinking on my part (since I am a polar foamer) but this has been a pretty crazy year weather-wise.
It always snows in December in the Kootenays

How many BC fuel hoarders do you think mocked the Brexit fuel hoarders?
