Anyone else see the photos and videos of the hail storm in Mexico? 1.5 m of hail. the video of the semi plowing through the road filled with snow was amazing.

So what did everyone do on Canada Day?
I celebrated Canada's birthday and my 33rd wedding anniversary in whistler, took in the free Tenors concert at the Olympic plaza. Wasn't sure what to expect but was totally blown away , wasn't just opera, they sang songs like , Delilah, sweet Caroline, suspicious minds,my way, you are so beautiful,Hallelujah and many others including a stirring rendition of Shallow by one of the tenors and his 8 month pregnant wife who also has an incredible voice, and then to top it off the tenors come back for an encore and suddenly I was at a Queen concert as they did we will rock you,Bohemian raphsody and we are the champions, one of the best concerts I've been to, it didn't hurt that we were near the stage.

Not to nitpick but it looks more like 4 inches of hail floating on top of 4 feet of water.

I did see pics of hail up to the windows on cars and people standing on top of the hail, so it wasnÃ¢â‚¬â„¢t floating on water as it was in that video. I think the 3, 4 and 5 foot depths were a result of the hail collecting in low areas as it likely was flowing down the streets. I somehow doubt there was that much accumulation on level ground

Shawnigan Lake has their annual Canada day parade and carnival for the kids. So we took our toddler there for a few hours. Had some burgers, hot dogs and freezies. Then I came home and worked in the yard.
