A 100mm+ ice storm due to an AR has actually happened in these parts before. January 1935. We didn't skip the extreme cold and snowstorm that preceded it though.

Honestly do not envy the forecasters tomorrow. Still 3-4 days out...

We have low sun angles but the ground is pretty much saturated which may limit surface cooling.
