Hound and Catnips areas are usually the best areas in these setups. They are far enough from the anus and S and SE circulations allow for favorable cell development there.

Snow bands that stay mostly east of Boundary Road are tasteless and tacky. At least I’m managing to score some slopover flakeys this time.

The ferry is absolutely rocking right now went to the front and the combo of our momentum and utflow winds made it difficult to breathe. Looking forward to hopefully getting in on this snow action Tonight!

Significant snowfall expected tonight.

Total Snowfall accumulations: 5 to 10 cm.

Timespan: This evening to early Sunday morning.

Locations: Metro Vancouver - Northeast including Coquitlam and Maple Ridge.

Remarks: An unstable airmass combined with frigid outflow winds will bring convective snow over northeastern Metro Vancouver tonight.

Snow will begin early this evening and intensify throughout the night before tapering off Sunday morning.

Global says snow's almost over for Metro... only 2-4 more cm. They did say more for eastern sections, but not how much more. Very poor forecasting IMO.
