We've been having light flurries for the past couple hours. Not feeling too optimistic that we'll get anything substantial here tonight.

What is the consensus on what the models are saying for next system in the forecast later this week?

I'd go with a region-wide 5-10cm on Thursday right now.

Though I think the euro still isn't sold yet so there's still a chance it trends warmer and/or drier.

I’m monitoring the radar for trends. Give it another half-hour and I should be able to say if we have a chance or if we’re basically f*cked.

Encouraging trends. As I had hoped, things seem to have reconfigured and the new cutoff line is now Granville Street.

Downside is that the precip is now coming more in showers and bursts instead of a continuous band.

Getting some flakes in Kensington again as I type this.

Light snow continues. Very fine flakes.

Probably picked up only about 0.5cm this evening, so I'm pretty skeptical of getting the 5-10cm predicted by EC.

That's surprising. I may have 0.5 cm if this keeps up for another 10 minutes...super dry and fluffy. They float so slowly it's like a slow motion film.

The east coast of the Island is a definite snow zone. Seems to score good every winter.

It actually picked up a bit soon after I wrote that. My estimate might be a bit low, we're probably closer to 1cm this evening.

We're still getting light/moderate SE winds so it's blowing around a bit.
