That's true Rubes, memory becomes shorter especially when 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020 happened in rapid secession like it did if 2022 pulls off the same that would be an outstanding feat.

Starting to observe occasional drifting snow @ the pond in south Sardis. -11c still under just afew clouds. I'm glad we've had some clear skies with this event and snow cover to maximize the magnitude of this Arctic air it's a rare occurrence indeed.

Thanks for sharing these Leighbugs!

These are amazing! I'd read about them but never expected them down here. Another epic weather addition to 2021.

Interesting sight… I’ve lived in cold-winter climates and never noticed these.
It's called clown range for a reason.

Agreed - great to see the clear skies again tonight. Temp was pretty flatlined earlier tonight when it was cloudy, but has gradually fallen since then.

Currently -9.5c, dp -10.6c.

Seconded. Odds are we’re in for a run of boring torchy winters. Would be nice to have the memories to look back on.

Clear skies here, Orion was bright.

-7.2 dp - 9
Sechelt -5.2 dp -8.3

Interesting because I've been warmer than Sechelt for most of this cold spell. EC calling for low of -5 tonight.

Wow! Look at that ice. Impressive.

I've been on that ferry, you drive on but when you return you have to back onto the ferry, which was a tug boat tied to a barge. You could really tell the locals, didn't take them anytime to load.
