Snowfall with total amounts of 5 to 10 cm is expected.

Heavy snow expected beginning this evening.

Snowfall accumulation: 5 to 10 cm.

Locations: Vancouver Island, Southern Gulf Islands, Sunshine Coast, Metro Vancouver and the Fraser Valley - west and central.

Timespan: This evening through Thursday morning.

Remarks: A storm system will move across the south coast of B.C. tonight. With ample cold air in place, this system will result in widespread snow beginning this evening and tapering off Thursday morning.

The current forecast suggests widespread 5 to 10 cm of snow is likely. However, there is the potential for locally heavier amounts particularly over the Sunshine Coast, North Shore Mountains, and parts of Vancouver Island. Most regions will see close to 5 cm accumulate rapidly within 3 to 6 hours during the overnight hours when the snowfall will be most intense.

Going to be threading the needle central valley folks, Snowfall warning up for us but not for Hope. official forecast calls for only 5cm for the central valley.
Don't get confused by the Snowfall warning that say's 5cm to 10cm for the central valley confused yet.

Do you guys realize that we very well could be currently living in the next weather extreme event(by todays standards)? This is shaping up to be a very cold period for ~14 days. This time, maybe it just keeps going on. The warm up has already been watered wayyyyy down lol. Looks like places such as Squ and Hope wont even change over. But what if that extends to all coastal areas except shore/beach/SL people?
OMG wuta run this would be. Repeated snow attacks from the north with no changeover in sight. Is this even possible?
