My daughter will be taking the ferry to Victoria tomorrow morning. I do worry about the road condition and will BC ferry cancel the service if too much snow, say 10-15cm?

Leave early give plenty of time for sailing, unless the ferry gets stuck in the snow on the water, oh wait no the models make it look like there's snow on the water.

Had a low of -11.0c this morning.

-4.9 dp -13c with a light ENE wind in Ladner currently.

Had a low of -12.3c this morning.

Pretty impressive to have 4 consecutive lows below -10c here

My station at my parents house in Ladner:

12/26: -7.3 (midnight high)/-11.1

Looks like people are walking on trout lake despite the "warning: thin ice signs" put up by the city.

This is what happened many times in the past too (70s, 80s, 90s). As I mentioned yesterday, I doubt the ice was >6" thick on lost lagoon in early January 1974 (go through the old data and check the temps from this period) but there's footage of kids skating on it nonetheless.
