I'd trust mesoscale at this point. Especially as GFS is all alone.
2025-26 season stats:
Climo :cancel: ∞ to 0.5 :14clown: GFS

Season total: 0.5 cm and TWO traces!
Peak depth: 0.5 cm (01/07/2026)

This is what happened many times in the past too (70s, 80s, 90s). As I mentioned yesterday, I doubt the ice was >6" thick on lost lagoon in early January 1974 (go through the old data and check the temps from this period) but there's footage of kids skating on it nonetheless.
I take a snowmobile on ~5" of ice, on a eeeeeeuge Lake. I'm sure 6" is more than enough to walk on
Looking forward to our first 3 day stretch of sun and 20c++ 8-)

I love getting 1-2 days of those +17C days where you finally crave summer only to look at the models and see a massive trough locking into our region and bringing wave after wave of +7C daytime showers and nightime +2C slush.

Storm wrote: Wed Dec 29, 2021 1:23 pm I am not saying will snow that much, just what the model is showing. Also models usually underestimate QPF. We squeeze a cm. snow not that long ago with models not showing it.
Tell em Storm!! :x :x
Lets have some more positive snow total thoughts here. The models have been way low on many occasions already. Daaaaa. Who cares what they say. Most have no clue as amounts vary wildly from one area to another. :shh:
