Thats because the water back then was more pure, less contamination from pineapple juice, which affects the hardness of the ice....or something a certain member would come up with...Typeing3 wrote: ↑Wed Dec 29, 2021 1:57 pm Honestly it's a bit ridiculous, especially when there is historic photo evidence of people walking around on the same lakes during periods with less extreme cold weather. Back then people falling thru the ice would get up dust themselves off. Now, people go onto thin ice then sue the City when they fall thru
