So far, you’re the big winner! Now I get to do a victory dance for forecasting 10–25 cm on Reddit. A tad on the low end, but ended up pretty close!VanCitySouth wrote: ↑Thu Dec 30, 2021 7:56 am This is new snow. As you can see, undisturbed and no mounds or piles in sight.

I had the benefit of measuring at 5:15 right after the heavy stuff ended, so I measured with minimal compacting. The three hours in between then and me leaving for work has already dented totals by an inch.Rubus_Leucodermis wrote: ↑Thu Dec 30, 2021 9:16 am So far, you’re the big winner! If we're not on Reddit and didn't see it, does the forecast count?Rubus_Leucodermis wrote: ↑Thu Dec 30, 2021 9:16 am So far, you’re the big winner! Now I get to do a victory dance for forecasting 10–25 cm on Reddit. A tad on the low end, but ended up pretty close!
I'm going to be interested with the new seasonal data coming in on Saturday to see what it's showing. Some of the models have us at below normal or normal temps most of the first half of the year including in ~May/June.

I measured at about 6:30 am, so pretty sure I got a reasonably accurate reading. Was a nice surprise to wake up with about 15 cm more than I went to bed with.VanCitySouth wrote: ↑Thu Dec 30, 2021 9:22 am I had the benefit of measuring at 5:15 right after the heavy stuff ended, so I measured with minimal compacting. 33 cm total snow depth, interesting to see how snow compacts. I had close to 25cm before the snow fell, then had 15 on top. Lost 7cm to compaction.
