Well colour me surprised. It somehow managed to snow. Now it's ice pelleting which is what woke me up, so I quickly measured.

4 cm new.

Typical

Cloudy.

El Nito came pretty close to getting a 24 hour ban tonight with all his foolish posts trying to piss off people. Just sayin'
Who is in charge of enforcing bans on here? Nito was fine imo
Looking forward to our first 3 day stretch of sun and 20c++ 8-)

Looks like it snowed a bit at some point this am.

Just cloudy/breezy right now.

Appears the precip is north of the area for now.

Bone dry here under the big donut.
The warm front did its job to raise temps to around 0c.
Why do you all seem surprised its snowing lol. This was never going to be a bommy warmup. Also, can I say it again >
..#modelfail. Thank you.

Hey Raindar, where you at

I am very surprised I got snow because it was already above freezing out my way when I went to bed and the temperature was creeping slowly up the whole night. That made me think it must be around +2/+3 by morning, AKA cold rain time. I'm not sure anyone was claiming "bommy" other than Nito and Radar.

Side note: how did balmy become "bommy"? Is it just another Hawkism along with pummel becoming "pumble"?

#surprises. Even Nito mentioned "wet snow" in one of his posts..but not sure what the reference was. I didnt say anyone was claiming bommy..i just made the point that it was never going to get bommy. And yes, pumble=pummel / bommy=balmy. I know how to spell. Its fun with the evolution of words right? Kind of like Whats up = wassup =tsup =sup
Don't you think pumble sounds better than pummel?

Looks like a sloppy mix on tap..location dependent of course. Elevation will help out PMan again today. And this week.

From the national weather service looks like they expect the outflow to pick up again and have a big overrunning event Thursday:

“Next system moving inland over Oregon later Tuesday with most of
the moisture south of the area. Fraser river outflow winds picking
up during the day with the Bellingham to Williams Lake gradient
decreasing down to near -15 mb. High Tuesday once again near 40
with a little cooler temperatures over Whatcom county.

.LONG TERM /WEDNESDAY THROUGH SATURDAY/...Models in good agreement
with a little break in the action Wednesday before the next
system moving up from the southwest reaches the area Wednesday
night into Thursday. This is a troublesome track with the
possibility of a strong overrunning snow event in Whatcom and
Skagit county later Wednesday night into Thursday. South of Skagit
county the warmer air aloft will scour out any colder air mass
remaining making the precipitation type rain in the lowlands.
Fraser river outflow winds coming to an end later Thursday with
the air mass over Whatcom and Skagit county quickly warming up.
System stalling over Western Washington Thursday night. Heavy
snow likely in the Cascades with the snow levels possibly rising
over pass levels. With easterly gradients in the passes keeping
cold air at the pass surface this could lead to a freezing rain
event in the passes later Thursday into Thursday night. Surface
gradients turning onshore Friday as the front finally moves out of
the area. Daytime temperatures warming into the mid 40s.
Unsettled weather continuing into Saturday. Felton “
