Despite a lot of warm rain got some wintry hangin-on. I suppose it'll all be gone in the morning.

Wait...could we have our first cooler than normal summer since possibly the beginning of time?

Close enough , EC going with a generic 9° tomorrow and 10° Thurs/Fri for all metro Vancouver areas. They might tweak it higher tomorrow since my area already at 11° or close to it. Nito approved low teens seems within reach this week. :fire:

Snowpack has kind of solidified to the point where even this rain isn’t making much of a dent. Still about 20cm on the ground here.

Enjoy the thaw. Tough to melt ice fast on a frozen ground.

New rule: it’s not an official Nito-approved pineapple express until the temperatures are in the double digits. (Midwinter standards only, of course.)
It's called clown range for a reason.

It's been horrible here and I'm not usually one to complain about winter hardships. Even on our farm it's just this terrible uneven pack of ice and usually you only see that on pavement or well walked areas. This AR was 100% needed i may only say that once.

I can't wait to hopefully see it gone tomorrow.

Where is this AR? Isn't it supposed to be pouring right now?

Good news is another 48 hours of wet to go before we go into a lengthy dry and mild spell through the rest of Jan while the cold stays far East.

This ice on side streets in the central valley is taking forever to melt. :x
