I have a feeling that it may be late feb before things get cool. Seems like there is always a 2 month climate switch time lately. Never stays extreme for more than 3 weeks and takes at least a month to go the other way. Past winters always seem to be early or late cold but never both.
maybe time to put your summer tires back on for a few weeks then?

Sure quiet in here oh well, still got snow covered grass @ the pond in south Sardis, it feels like the doldrums of winter blah weather not much else to say. Gumps may have pulled off the ultimate upset over my poor Sardis Sardines who da thunk it unless l get a March or April come back.

Garlic popping up now is not a shock. Garlic sprouts at cold temperatures! Loved today. I went on a run today for the first time since the cold snap since before Christmas and I definitely felt out of shape.

Yep. April snow isn't rare. Measurable snow in April on the other hand is more unusual.
2009 was April 1st Tsprout, l recall that event l was working in Burnaby by Lougheed and Gaglardi it was about 7a.m. when l told the wife it was snowing @ work she thought it was an April fools joke it came down pretty good for a time.

Unfortunately, long range models are trending away from the colder pattern for the end of the month. It could be that the models were just too quick with the pattern change and that models will trend colder for February. However, the latest Euro weeklies also backed off on any cold for February. Therefore, my confidence is decreasing that the cold will return to the PNW this winter. Hopefully we can at least get a warm and dry pattern if it doesn't get cold and snowy.

That's awesome 15kmh down the road from me. When l worked in Burnaby we had a good sight line of Mt. Cheam from the roof and Cheam had the appearance of a pyramid from there. Anybody know the story of the Cheam angel visible in late spring when most of the snow melts, l'll post the article below l only read about it last year l find local folk lore fascinating.
