Great deal of fog out here in Vancouver. Wonder if most of you guys are socked in as well.

Nope. Just cloudy here. I can see some fog towards the NE up near lower Burke Mountain and Pitt Lake though.

GEFS is strongly showing the pattern retrograding towards the end of the month.

Fogsville here but not terrible,was worse earlier.

Hi guys, I sell my CoCoRaHS rain gauge because I have no place to measure rainfall.

It's in metric (inches on the photo) and I have an additional gauge - outer cylinder. $30 for all. PM if interested.

Take note of the area closest to the lower mainland where the warning is. This is from a volcano on the other side of the ocean.
Now if this was the cascadia quake, which would be thousands of times more powerful and closer, you can imagine the waning area much more serious and spread inland. Yes, Richmond would be toast.

Wow, the GEFS goes out really far now. Forget about hour 384 in the clown range, now we have the ultra :14clown: range!

It runs out the extended range on the 0z’s. I thought it was everyday but I’m not sure on that.

Fog advisory in effect for:

Metro Vancouver - central including the City of Vancouver Burnaby and New Westminster
Metro Vancouver - North Shore including West Vancouver and North Vancouver
Metro Vancouver - northeast including Coquitlam and Maple Ridge
Metro Vancouver - southeast including Surrey and Langley
Metro Vancouver - southwest including Richmond and Delta
Near zero visibility in fog is expected or occurring.

Locations: Metro Vancouver and Fraser Valley.

Timespan: Tonight and Sunday morning.

Remarks: A mild and moist airmass will remain over the area tonight. Areas of dense fog are expected to become more widespread tonight and visibilities may at times be reduced to near zero. Conditions are forecast to improve Sunday morning.

Visibility may be significantly and suddenly reduced to near zero. Travel is expected to be hazardous due to reduced visibility in some locations. If visibility is reduced while driving, turn on your lights and maintain a safe following distance.
