Only you know what happened on that fateful night that the Sardis Times is calling the Snowgate scandal.
Did the egg nog get the better of you and cause double vision?
Did slytyguy fumble his assignment?
Did you fall asleep and wake up in a snow drift?
Did you lose your ruler and panic by using East Chilliwack's totals?
Are your eyeballs better than a measuring instrument?
Did you slip and fall that caused a concussion ?
Did the butler do it?

Will be watching CNN for the latest breaking news.

Looks like the GFS and GEM control runs are a bit more promising in the long range. At the same time, the ensembles are going to swing back and forth at this range. Another shot of cold/snow does seem possible in Feb but it's hardly a slam dunk.

I mentioned afew day's ago that if we don't see anymore cold/snow l won't be disappointed. Considering what we went through last winter and how draining it was and the promising model runs for early Feb. that went sideways.

Rebuttal in my defense:
Did the egg nog get the better of you and cause double vision? (I enrolled in egg noggers anonymous after the holidays)
Did slytyguy fumble his assignment? (Slyts was Slyty awol during the event turned up @ John's house more pay less work)
Did you fall asleep and wake up in a snow drift? (I did fall asleep and dream't l was swimming in a snow drift)
Did you lose your ruler and panic by using East Chilliwack's totals? (I try to keep up with the East Whacker's but can't afford the monthly CM's.
Are your eyeballs better than a measuring instrument? ( Yes my eyeballs are bigger than my measuring device, CM's appear more than they appear)
Did you slip and fall that caused a concussion ? (No but l did slip and fall into a deep sleep on the night in question)
Did the butler do it? (No must have been the wife :D )

Will be watching CNN for the latest breaking news.
The following is my rebuttal.

My humidity has been at or near 100% for about 8 days straight. It sucks trying to do anything outside when everything is drippy and soggy. I really hope it dries out this weekend, but with fog expected I'm not optimistic. Days are still pretty short, and sun angles too low to provide much daytime heating.

Still no southeast ridge means more of a chilly northwest flow for now. I'm looking for some good skiing weather anyways, haven't made it up yet this winter.

SE ridge is a downstream response to the Alaskan Ridge and PNW trough. If the trough does dig in to the PNW and the pattern is not progressive than the SE ridge will almost inevitably bounce up.

GFS ensemble looks pretty good. 850 temps to -7 by the end of the run.
